◼️ Discovery of malicious software in the CamScanner app that allows Android phones to be hacked.
📓Malicious software has been disco
vered in the popular CamScanner application on Android, which is one of the most popular applications for document photography and pdf file making and downloaded more than 100 million times.
🔻This software allows hackers to take full control of your phone and steal your data if you are a user of the free version of the app and Google deleted the app from the Google Play Store.
Researchers at Kaspersky recently discovered that CamScanner carries malicious Trojan-Dropper software that allows hackers to install malicious applications on the victim's phone completely secretly.
The researchers stated that this malicious software was caused by a partnership with an advertiser, as it is not primarily within the application but within a secondary library of ads within the application.
Deleting the application from users' phones will protect them completely until the gap within the application is closed and the problem is resolved as it is recommended after installing the application again, especially from external sources until it is made available again on the Google Play Store.
